MAJOR UPCOMING EVENTS

February 27- March 1: Koinonia Family Retreat, St. Elizabeth Church
This is a 3-day retreat for adults which combines individual testimonies, prayer, group events and fun in a challenging format to bring new spiritual awareness to the people. This is a national movement that has never been done before in Grayson County. It will be run by a group from Bowling Green, all of which themselves have done Koinonia retreats in the past.

Saturday, March 7- Mens Prayer Breakfast
This is a quarterly event that is open to all adult men in the parish, and involves prayer, social gathering and service work. All men are encouraged to join us. This begins at 8 AM, and will go until about 10 AM

Friday, March 14- Saturday, March 15: Youth Trip to Gasper River
Our Middle School and High School youth will be going to this retreat camp, which is owned by the diocese, and which includes low elements obstacles, prayer, games, and a chance to meet other people. This trip will cost $25. We ask that all of those who are going to have permission slips turned in to the parish by March 10.

Tuesday, March 24: Communal Reconciliation Service
This will take place at St. Augustine Church in Grayson Springs, and will be at 6:00. It will have all of the three priests from Grayson County present

Saturday, March 28: Spring Clean- up
We ask all of those who are able to join us to clean up and repair various areas around the church and the grounds. This will begin at 8 AM on Saturday, and go until about noon. No particular skills are needed, but all willing hands are appreciated

Sunday, March 29- PALM SUNDAY

Tuesday, March 31- CHRISM MASS
This diocesan event has representatives from every parish in the diocese. Bishop William Medley will bless the holy oils that will be used by each church in the diocese. This will begin at 6 PM at the Sportscenter in Owensboro.

Thursday, April 2: HOLY THURSDAY
This great feast will be celebrated at St. Paul at 6 PM, celebrating the Mass of the Lords Supper. After mass, there will be a procession to the parish hall, where the Eucharist will be exposed until midnight for prayer

Friday, April 3- GOOD FRIDAY
This holy day of remembrance of the crucifixion of our Lord will be observed at 6 PM.

Saturday, April 4- EASTER VIGIL
This great celebration will be held at St. Elizabeth Church at 8 PM. It celebrates the Lord’s resurrection and also will enter 3 new people into the Catholic Church

Sunday, Apri 5- EASTER SUNDAY

Sunday, April 12- Divine Mercy Sunday

Sunday, May 3- First Reconciliation for those children who are preparing for First Communion. IT will be held at 2 PM.

Sunday, May 10- FIRST COMMUNION

Saturday, May 30- ORDINATION OF GARY CLARK
Gary Clark grew up in the parish of St. Paul, and has been studying in the seminary at St. Meinrad for 6 years now. He will be ordained in the morning at 10 AM at the Cathedral in Owensboro.

Sunday, May 31- First mass of ordination of Deacon Gary Clark
This special mass will take place in the afternoon and will be a great celebration of Holy Orders and for all that Gary has done for the parish
